WATCH: Bottas, Alonso and Ricciardo all retire within a lap of each other in Jeddah
Laps 36 and 37 of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix saw three drivers retire in quick succession, with Fernando Alonso, Valtteri Bottas and Daniel Ricciardo all dropping out in three separate incidents.
Alonso – who’d battled hard with team mate Esteban Ocon earlier in the race – was the first to suffer issues, as he reported “no power” to the Alpine pit wall.

But then both Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas were seen to slow with their own issues, with the race then neutralised under a Virtual Safety Car as Ricciardo and Alonso’s cars were recovered.
