WATCH: Heavy Magnussen crash brings out red flags during Mexico City GP
The Mexico City Grand Prix was brought to a sudden halt after Kevin Magnussen suffered a big crash, forcing the race to be red flagged.
The Haas driver lost control of his car in the Turn 8-9 complex of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and hit the barriers at around the halfway point of the event. Fortunately Magnussen looked to be unharmed as he removed himself from the heavily damaged VF-23 with Haas confirming he was ok after a check-over at the medical centre, but would be kept a little longer for observations.

After yellow flags were initially shown, followed by a Safety Car being called, the red flags were then waved to stop the race as marshals set about fixing the barriers and clearing up the debris.
The drivers subsequently returned to the pit lane as they awaited the restart, with Max Verstappen in P1 from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
