WATCH: Sergio Perez takes podium in Mexico to delight home fans
He's not in the championship battle, but Sergio Perez has been the man of the moment all weekend in Mexico as his home fans have turned the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez into a cauldron of support for the Red Bull racer.
And he delivered a strong performance for them on Sunday afternoon, racing title contender Lewis Hamilton hard, before ultimately finishing in P3 - and becoming the first Mexican driver to ever seal a podium at their home race, to the obvious delight of the sell-out crowd, as you can see in the video clip above.
