Share
Max Verstappen was feeling very positive about things after Friday practice in Baku, but his qualifying preparations were dealt a blow on Saturday morning when, pushing hard, he made a small mistake and went head-on into the wall at Turn 15.
Unable to engage reverse and with his Red Bull having suffered reasonable damage, the world championship leader had no choice but to abandon his car, bringing out the red flags and losing him around 30 minutes of running.
Watch the incident in full above, and tune in to see how he responds in qualifying at 1600 local time/1200 UTC/1300 BST.
