WEEKEND WARM-UP: It's set to be a scorcher as the pack gets ready to race in France
The F1 circus has descended on the south of France for the 12th round of the season – the French Grand Prix. Ferrari are riding high on the back of victories at Silverstone and Austria, but can Red Bull get back to winning ways this weekend?
There shouldn’t be any weather around to spice things up, with sunny skies set to grace the F1 paddock across the three days of action. But Circuit Paul Ricard does lend itself to overtaking, so there could still be plenty of thrills come race day – and that’s before mentioning the French contingent in the field.
FORM GUIDE: Can Ferrari continue their run of form in France?
Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon will both want to make a serious impression this weekend, as they look to climb to the head of the midfield, while Mercedes will be seeking further gains to fully insert themselves in the fight for victories as Lewis Hamilton takes part in his 300th Grand Prix.
