F1 moves on from Barcelona to Spielberg for the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend, where various car and power unit developments are expected to be rolled out. But what exactly will each squad be running? F1.com presents a round-up…
Mercedes
Mercedes will run an updated front suspension in Austria – aimed at improving the flow to the rear of the car – as well as making an alteration to the coke/engine cover which they have stated will allow for “more cooling range tuning”.
Ferrari
The Ferrari SF-26 is set to sport a revised front wing endplate – marking a further step on the new geometry introduced in Barcelona – while they have removed the RV Tail element, something that they have said was a Free Practice test item.
Updates that will feature in this weekend’s practice sessions, however, are changes to the floor board and mirror stay. The Scuderia are aiming to gather data on these upgrades, which are both focused on aerodynamic correlation.

McLaren
As mentioned by Oscar Piastri during Thursday’s media day, McLaren are going to test out an “experimental” rear wing on Friday in Austria, which he stated will be used on Lando Norris’ car. The squad have said that the wing “has been modified to deploy the flap to an alternative position in straight line mode, resulting in a larger reduction in drag”.
The reigning World Champions will also use a revised rear brake duct inlet this weekend, targeting a gain in aerodynamic load around the rear corner.
Red Bull
For their home event, Red Bull are bringing a significant upgrade package to the RB22. Adjustments have been made to the sidepod inlet and engine cover in order to improve reliability, while a number of changes are aimed at boosting performance in local load.
This includes updates to the floor, rear suspension, rear corner, rear wing and exhaust. Additionally, profile changes to the floor board have been carried out to improve flow conditioning performance.

Alpine
Alpine are another team set to run a few updates in Austria. The A526 will sport a new front wing design featuring a redesigned front wing endplate, while the nose has been updated to better integrate this new front wing.
The Enstone-based outfit are also bringing a revised front corner geometry as well as the addition of a winglet on the diffuser, both aimed at boosting the performance of the flow conditioning.
Racing Bulls
Two upgrades are listed for Racing Bulls this weekend, one of these being that they have lowered the exhaust tailpipe which they have said “helps with the flow management around the rear of the car, allowing the rear wing to perform efficiently”.
There will also be revised diffuser trailing edge devices, targeting an improvement to aerodynamic flow conditioning at the back of the car.

Haas
Haas have made a circuit-specific change to their cooling louvres, with the squad introducing two additional apertures on the upper surface of the sidepod.
Additionally, they have revised the front brake duct design, aimed at improving flow conditioning.
Williams
There are no upgrades listed for Williams at this event.

Audi
Audi have delivered a number of upgrades in Austria, with several targeting better local load performance. This includes updates to the front wing endplate, floor, rear suspension, beam wing and rear wing.
The squad will also sport alterations to the front corner and rear corner, aimed at improving flow conditions in these areas.
Aston Martin
Aston Martin will not run any updates this weekend.

Cadillac
Like Red Bull, Cadillac are bringing a substantial list of updates to the Red Bull Ring. A reprofiled sidepod inlet area, resurfaced engine cover and updated cooling louvres are targeting better cooling range, while there are also changes to sidepod/coke, mirror stay and roll hoop leg fairings to focus on flow conditioning.
In terms of boosting the local load performance, the MAC-26 will run a an updated floor bib, floor leading edge, diffuser and beam wing.
