BEYOND THE GRID: Mattia Binotto on turning Audi into winners
Mattia Binotto is the latest guest on the Beyond The Grid podcast, discussing how he is using his experience from Ferrari to transform Audi into a race-winning team.

Mattia Binotto believes that using his years of experience at Ferrari, he can transform newcomers Audi into World Championship contenders in the next four years, but how exactly will they get there?
Audi have made their mark across various other forms of motorsport but their F1 entry has been years in the making, with Binotto taking on the high-pressure role of managing the project, working across their factories in Switzerland and Germany whilst keeping an eye on their on-track performance.
Speaking to Beyond The Grid host Tom Clarkson, Binotto shares how he is aiming to raise the ambition of everyone on the team to ensure that Audi's admirable expectations are met – including replicating elements of his work that made Ferrari the dominant team of the early 2000s.
He emphasises that the team don't just want to be on the grid, but are hoping to maximise the talents of Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg to win races in the upcoming seasons.
Binotto delves into why those two drivers are the perfect combination for Audi right now, whether they could be a destination for a star like Max Verstappen, and if he would ever get a tattoo to commemorate their first race win.
