Dan Fallows to make F1 return as Racing Bulls’ new Technical Director

Racing Bulls have announced the appointment of experienced aerodynamicist Dan Fallows as their new Technical Director, adding to the squad’s technical leadership group.

When he arrives in April, Fallows will report into Chief Technical Officer, Tim Goss, and “take responsibility for the overall technical direction of the team, working across design, aerodynamics and performance”.

Fallows joins Racing Bulls after previous Technical Director Jody Egginton vacated his position to become Engineering Director at Red Bull Advanced Technologies in early 2025.

It marks the latest move in an F1 career that began with Jaguar Racing in the early 2000s, before stints at Red Bull and most recently Aston Martin – the Briton stepping down as their Technical Director at the end of the 2024 season.

“I’m very pleased to be joining VCARB at an exciting time for the team,” said Fallows in a press release issued by Racing Bulls on Friday.

“There is a clear vision and strong technical ambition, and I’m looking forward to working closely with Tim and the wider engineering group to help drive performance and continue building the team for the future.”

Alan Permane, Racing Bulls’ Team Principal, said: “Dan has a wealth of experience, and his technical understanding and leadership will be a real asset to the team as we continue to develop and push forward competitively. We’re delighted to welcome him to VCARB.”

Racing Bulls head into the 2026 season with a revised driver line-up, as F2 race winner Arvid Lindblad joins incumbent Liam Lawson – the pair already experiencing the new VCARB 03 in a shakedown at Imola earlier this week.
