MUST-SEE: Tsunoda brings out the red flags with hefty qualifying crash in Mexico
Yuki Tsunoda brought out the red flags in the dying moments of the second qualifying phase at the Mexico City Grand Prix when the RB driver dramatically slid off the track and slammed into the barriers.
Tsunoda was pushing to improve as the Q2 clock ticked down when he locked up heavily under braking for Turn 12, lost control of his car and slid towards the barriers at speed – causing significant damage.

After coming to a halt, Tsunoda confirmed that he was unharmed but apologised for the incident, which meant he exited qualifying in P11 and team mate Liam Lawson dropped out in P12 – the New Zealander unable to post what looked set to be an improved lap.
