Renault to run Ocon in post-Abu Dhabi test

Esteban Ocon will begin his preparations for a racing return to Formula 1 with Renault when he fulfils testing duties for the French manufacturer on both days of the post-Abu Dhabi test at the Yas Marina Circuit…
The Frenchman has spent 2019 on the sidelines as Mercedes’ third and reserve driver, after losing his race seat at Racing Point at the end of 2018. His focus has been on simulator work for the reigning world champions.
Following talks with Renault, he was announced as Daniel Ricciardo’s team mate for 2020 in August on a multi-year deal, replacing Nico Hulkenberg who looks set to be left without a seat next year.
