It was a dream getaway for McLaren as the Sao Paulo Sprint got under way, with pole-sitter Oscar Piastri keeping hold of his lead, and team mate Lando Norris sticking close by him.
The opening lap was clean across the field as the top three stayed in their qualifying positions, although Max Verstappen did his best to challenge Charles Leclerc for P3 before locking up into Turn 1.

Behind, an oversteer moment for Haas super-sub Ollie Bearman saw him drop down a few spots as his team mate Nico Hulkenberg gained two places, while Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton also dropped a couple of places from his P11 starting spot.
