There were mixed fortunes for the top teams on Day 2 of the second test in Barcelona as Ferrari topped the timesheets, Mercedes broke down, and Red Bull's Max Verstappen beached his car in the gravel trap.

When the day began the air was chilly and the track was slippery after overnight rain in Spain – and despite going out on intermediate tyres, plenty of drivers were caught out and suffered spins.

The track dried out later in the day but Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel both ended up in the gravel, though the latter also managed to record the quickest time of the day for Ferrari. Check out all the highlights from the day's running in the video above.
