WATCH: Extended highlights from the drama-packed 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix
The 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was just the second time F1 had raced at the Baku City Circuit, but it more than justified its inclusion on the calendar with an incredibly memorable and dramatic race.
From Sebastian Vettel’s infamous clash with Lewis Hamilton after feeling he’d been brake-checked, to the contact between the two Force India drivers, there were incidents up and down the field all race long.
Hamilton had issues with his headrest, Valtteri Bottas suffered a puncture after colliding with Kimi Raikkonen, there were penalties for Sergio Perez and Raikkonen for their cars being worked on outside of the fast lane under red flags – and that's before mechanical retirements, overtakes and Safety Cars even get a mention.
In the end Daniel Ricciardo charged through to take a famous victory in what he rightly called a “crazy race”, as the Aussie came home for Red Bull ahead of a recovering Bottas and the Williams of Lance Stroll.
