Formula 1 moves on to Austin this week for what is sure to be another scintillating race around the Circuit of The Americas. Ahead of this weekend’s action, we've taken a trip down memory lane as we dig out five great battles from the F1 archives at the United States Grand Prix.
From an epic battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in 2018, as the pair tussled for second and third, to a thrilling encounter in 2021 between Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz, there has been plenty to keep fans on edge.

The 2012 race also served up gripping drama as Hamilton, driving for McLaren, chased down Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull for the lead of the race.
