WATCH: Lawson suffers second crash ahead of Singapore Grand Prix with FP3 incident
A heavy crash in Free Practice 3 for Liam Lawson puts Racing Bulls in a race against time to repair his car for Qualifying later today.
Liam Lawson suffered his second crash ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix after putting his Racing Bulls car into the wall during Free Practice 3.
The New Zealander, who recorded a career-best result last time out in Baku with fifth, brought out the red flags in the final one-hour session of practice approaching the 20-minute mark.
Lawson hit the barrier on the exit of Turn 7 having gone over the kerb which pitched his car sideways and into the wall, causing substantial damage and potentially putting his participation for Qualifying later today in doubt.
The 23-year-old had brought out the red flags towards the end of FP2 on Friday after also hitting the wall, this time on the exit of Turn 17.
