The Italian Grand Prix may have only happened a few short weeks ago, but it's already gone down as one of the all-time great races of the modern era of F1 – so much so, we decided it had to be the next race to get the Inside Tracks treatment.

The Grand Prix at Monza was turned on its head by Kevin Magnussen's Haas breaking down just before the pit entry, and Mercedes' fateful decision to pit race leader Lewis Hamilton when the pitlane itself was closed.

With the six-time champ out of the running, it fell to AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly and McLaren's Carlos Sainz to fight it out for the win, with Sainz spending the final few laps hunting down his prey, while Gasly was determined to hang on to the lead to take his debut win.
It was a thrilling race and in the preview video above you can get a sense of what the drivers were thinking and feeling as it unfolded in real time.
