As the sun set on the 2022 season, the top three drivers in the championship and in Sunday’s race in Abu Dhabi – along with a couple of departing special guests – all performed the customary season-ending donuts at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Double world champion and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix winner Max Verstappen was joined at the end of the race by Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez, with the three drivers all performing donuts in front of the cheering fans, as they brought the season to a close.
The three racers were also joined by Sebastian Vettel, as the retiring four-time world champion signed off in style at a track where he has won three times in the past, as well Daniel Ricciardo, in his final race with McLaren.
