Alex Albon returned to the cockpit after suffering from appendicitis and surgery complications in Italy, the Williams driver finishing 16th as the sun set on Friday in Singapore.
Albon blazed through the streets of Marina Bay having recovered from appendicitis and respiratory failure during surgery that took place during the Italian Grand Prix, where Nyck de Vries stepped in to replace him.
The Thai driver set a time of 1m 46.119s in FP1, with Lewis Hamilton topping the session for Mercedes.
