Formula 1 returns to the Sunshine State this weekend for the second edition of the Miami Grand Prix. But can we expect a lot of blue skies and sunshine, or could the rain be set to make a surprise appearance?

The Miami International Autodrome played host to its first ever race last year, with Max Verstappen taking the victory ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in a pulsating affair, and the Dutch driver will be looking to make it two in a row on Sunday.

Coming into this weekend, Verstappen is under a little bit of pressure from team mate Sergio Perez, with the two-time world champion now just six points ahead in the drivers’ standings, following the Mexican's victory last time out in Baku.

Conditions: A gentle breeze throughout the day but there is a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms around the circuit. FP3: 30°C // Q: 30°C

Minimum temperature expected: 24 Celsius
Chance of rain: 40%

SUNDAY, MAY 7 – RACE WEATHER
Conditions: High chance of rain and thunderstorms in the Miami area in the afternoon. Race: 30°C
Maximum temperature expected: 30 Celsius
Minimum temperature expected: 24 Celsius
Chance of rain: 60%
