Why Leclerc is confident he can be a champion with Ferrari

All eyes were on Charles Leclerc as the Ferrari racer strolled into the Monaco paddock, just round the corner from his apartment, following the news he had committed his future to Ferrari with a contract extension that will keep the Monegasque at Formula 1's most famous team until at least the end of 2029.
Leclerc is synonymous with Ferrari and it feels like unfinished business for the 28-year-old that he has yet to win a World Championship in red - so agreeing a deal to extend his stay with the team for at least another three years is perhaps no surprise, even if they have as yet failed to deliver him the best machinery.
Ultimately, Leclerc truly believes staying with Ferrari rather than pursuing opportunities elsewhere on the grid offers him the best chance to become world champion.
