Williams announce date for 2019 livery launch
Share
Monday February 11 will see Williams show off their new colours for the 2019 season, as the team reveal the livery that will adorn the upcoming Williams FW42 challenger.
While we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to see the actual FW42 in the flesh, Williams are set to reveal the new colour scheme at their UK headquarters in Grove, Oxfordshire, wrapped onto a 2018-spec Williams FW41. The team will also use the event to announce a new title sponsor.
The FW42 will then hit the track for the first time when winter testing starts at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Monday February 18, and will be the car charged with helping Williams pull themselves off the bottom of the constructors’ standings, the position they ended up in last year. It will also be the car that brings Robert Kubica back to F1 competition for the first time since 2010, as he prepares for a sensational return to the sport alongside F1 rookie and 2018 Formula 2 champion George Russell.
Williams won’t be the only team with a different paint job this season, meanwhile, after Haas revealed a striking new gold and black livery that will run on the team’s VF-19s in 2019.
