I’ll have what he’s having…

There were all sorts of noises coming out of Daniel Ricciardo ahead of the weekend – and when he wasn’t running his mouth off, he was hanging out with runner Jimmy Vicaut.

Hair today...

The McLaren motorhome was registering dangerous levels of banter over the weekend, as the team’s intra-driver one-upmanship continued apace. There was some serious stuff happening too, though, with Lando Norris named Rookie of the Year at the Confartigianato Motori Awards.

Happy memories

Prior to Charles Leclerc's victory on Sunday, guess who was the last man to win for Ferrari on home soil...

Welcome champ

Good to see this rising star in the Monza paddock...

Nice lid

Daniil Kvyat looked chuffed when he unboxed a new helmet design for Toro Rosso’s home race. Didn’t do him much good, unfortunately, as he retired on Lap 29.

GIO meets his public

The Italian tifosi got to see an F1 driver racing at home for the first time since 2011 when Antonio Giovinazzi made his Italian Grand Prix debut for Alfa Romeo. And one fan in particular was getting a special view of the proceedings, along with his nonno.

90th celebrations

Indian international cricketer and Red Bull athlete K L Rahul was bowled over by what he saw over the Monza weekend.

Why just wave a flag?

The Italians are very passionate about their tricolore – and the sight of nine fighter jets rendering it in the sky ahead of the race was pure magic.

F1 past meets F1… future?

Jody Scheckter delighted the crowds by showing off his stunning Ferrari 312T4, the car that he drove to the 1979 world championship. Meanwhile, IndyCar racer JR Hildebrand checked out the Haas garages. Perhaps the American driver is gunning for that second seat alongside Kevin Magnussen for 2020...

And finally…

He might be an F1 driver, but MotoGP and Valentino Rossi were Lando Norris’ first loves as a kid. And after receiving a special gift from ‘The Doctor’ when he attended the MotoGP race at Silverstone recently, to go with his Valentino Rossi tribute helmet for the weekend, we’re not sure Lando’s ever going to take it off now…
