Lando Norris self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 in Dubai

McLaren driver Lando Norris is self-isolating after testing positive Covid-19 – though he has reassured fans he has only minor symptoms.
Norris, 21, is currently on holiday in Dubai ahead of a planned training camp, and took a test for the virus that has swept the globe in the last 12 months on Monday, having recognised the symptoms of loss of taste and smell.
After it came back positive, he informed his team and everyone he had been in contact with recently, and will self-isolate for the next 14 days in his hotel.
In a post on his Twitter feed, Norris said he "immediately" self-isolated and took a Covid-19 test after recognising the symptoms.
"I feel alright and have no other symptoms," he added.
Norris will be partnered by ex-Renault and Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo for the 2021 season, his third in Formula 1.
He becomes the fourth F1 driver to contract the virus, after Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton were all forced to miss races in 2020 after catching it.
