MUST-SEE: Huge drama at the end of qualifying in Miami as Leclerc crashes out
It was a dramatic conclusion to qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix when Charles Leclerc lost control of his Ferrari and crashed out of proceedings, bringing the session to an early end.
Leclerc was pushing to challenge provisional pole-sitter Sergio Perez in the Q3 phase but suffered a repeat of his Friday practice crash when he hit trouble at the high-speed Turn 6/7 complex and slid off the track.

Given that Leclerc’s car was buried in the barriers again, Race Control red-flagged the session with just over a minute-and-a-half on the clock, meaning there would be no time for drivers to complete another lap out of the pits.
That meant pole went to Perez, with Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen all the way back in ninth after abandoning his first lap. Fernando Alonso took second for Aston Martin, with Carlos Sainz third in the other Ferrari.
