Who’s favourite to win the 2020 British Grand Prix? How about the favourite to take pole position, fastest lap, or even the odds of a Safety Car appearing? Here are the latest odds for the fourth race of the 2020 season, as provided by 188BET.COM…

188BET's odds are presented in decimal form – so for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; if Lewis Hamilton is favourite at 1.10, you would win $1.10 for every dollar bet.

What are the odds for the win?

Lewis Hamilton is a six-time winner around Silverstone, with five of those wins having come in the last six years, so it’s no surprise to see him heading the betting, with Valtteri Bottas the second favourite.

FORM GUIDE: Can anyone stop Mercedes at this weekend's British Grand Prix?

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is an outside bet for the win at 9/1 – understandable, given that Red Bull haven’t scored a victory at Silverstone since 2012.

Lewis Hamilton 1.40
Valtteri Bottas 3.50
Max Verstappen 9.00
Sergio Perez 23.0
Lance Stroll 34.0
Alexander Albon 51.0
Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Sebastian Vettel 126
Daniel Ricciardo 601
Antonio Giovinazzi, Daniil Kvyat, Esteban Ocon, George Russell, Kevin Magnussen, Kimi Raikkonen, Nicholas Latifi, Pierre Gasly, Romain Grosjean 901

What are the odds for fastest in qualifying?

Not only is Lewis Hamilton a six-time British Grand Prix winner – he’s a six-time British Grand Prix polesitter too. He leads the betting again here, but considering that Valtteri Bottas is the most recent driver to have taken a pole position at Silverstone – and already has one pole to his name this year – the Finn is not to be discounted.

Lewis Hamilton 1.35
Valtteri Bottas 3.00
Max Verstappen 11.0
Sergio Perez 19.0
Lance Stroll 34.0
Alexander Albon 67.0
Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel 151
Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris 201
Daniel Ricciardo 601

What are the odds for a podium finish?

Mercedes have had a driver on the podium in each race of 2020, so their drivers' odds represent that.

But what about Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who has reached the rostrum twice this season already? He's set at 4.50 to finish in the top-three, level with returnee Sergio Perez.

Or would you consider a more outlandish bet and hope for a home podium for Carlos Sainz, 9.00 to reach the podium – while Alex Albon sits at 6.00. This circuit has thrown up surprises in the past, including Pastor Maldonado's sole F1 victory.

Lewis Hamilton 1.12
Valtteri Bottas 1.20
Max Verstappen 1.45
Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc 4.50
Lance Stroll, Alex Albon 6.00
Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris 9.00
Sebastian Vettel 12.0
Daniel Ricciardo 31.0
Esteban Ocon 101.0
Pierre Gasly 251
Daniil Kvyat 601

What are the odds for fastest lap?

The Mercedes W11 is expected to go like the clappers around Silverstone, ergo Hamilton and Bottas are once again the favourites for fastest lap for the British Grand Prix.

But be mindful that it’s McLaren, rather than Mercedes, who are winning the fastest lap battle in 2020, with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz having taken one each, while Hamilton scored one last time out in Hungary.

Lewis Hamilton 2.60
Valtteri Bottas 3.75
Max Verstappen 4.00
Sergio Perez 13.0
Lando Norris 17.0
Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc 21.0
Lance Stroll, Sebastian Vettel 26.0
Daniel Ricciardo 101
Esteban Ocon 201
Antonio Giovinazzi, Daniil Kvyat, George Russell, Kevin Magnussen, Kimi Raikkonen, Nicholas Latifi, Pierre Gasly, Romain Grosjean 251

What are the odds for which team will take the most points?

With Mercedes having accumulated nearly 100 more points at Silverstone in the last five years than their nearest rivals (200, to Ferrari’s 107), the Silver Arrows complete their clean sweep of being favourites across all categories here.

But as Toto Wolff said recently, it only takes one DNF for the whole picture to change…

Mercedes 1.06
Red Bull 8.00
Racing Point 17.0
Ferrari, McLaren 101
Renault 301
Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri, Haas, Williams 901

What are the odds for a Safety Car intervention?

With a Safety Car having been called at Silverstone every year since 2012 – and four appearances last year alone – it’s no surprise that the betting is leaning towards an interruption in 2020.
