The 2022 season has had its fair share of special moments, and as we edge past the halfway mark, we look back at Carlos Sainz's memorable maiden British Grand Prix victory in unrivalled detail.

The Scuderia driver took pole for the first time in his career on Saturday but lost the lead at the initial start to Max Verstappen, before staying ahead at the restart – after the race was red-flagged due to Zhou Guanyu's crash. But thanks to the Red Bull drivers’ issues and a Safety Car, Sainz was able to put on a set of soft tyres and make his way to the front, to win for the first time – on his 150th Grand Prix start.
