Share
Sergio Perez's hopes of an Austrian Grand Prix podium were all but dashed on Lap 1 thanks to a collision with George Russell.
The Red Bull driver attempted a pass around the outside of Mercedes' Russell at Turn 4 on the opening lap at the Red Bull Ring, but the Mexican was tapped into the gravel by the Briton.
Russell - who went on to finish fourth - received a five-second penalty for causing the collision, while Perez ended up retiring from the race that was won by Charles Leclerc, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton completing the podium.
Watch that incident between Perez and Russell in the video player above.
