Williams' Nicholas Latifi, Alpine's Esteban Ocon, and Red Bull's Max Verstappen are the sole runners for their respective teams. McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo was ill on Thursday and it is unclear whether he will be able to take the wheel on Day 2.
Mercedes, with their radical W13, have George Russell and Lewis Hamilton sharing duties once again – as do Haas, where Kevin Magnussen returns and readies for the afternoon stint.
The morning session begins at 1000 local time, while the afternoon session begins at 1500. Haas, however, will run one extra hour into the evening to make up for a logistics issue that cost them time on Thursday.
