WATCH: Leclerc and Vettel return to the track at Ferrari's Mugello test
Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have taken to the picturesque Italian circuit of Mugello for a private test ahead of the start of the revised 2020 Formula 1 season in Austria on July 5.
Vettel and Leclerc got behind the wheel of a 2018-spec Ferrari SF71H at the Italian track, with photos from the test – which you can see in the carousel above – showing the pair chatting happily in Mugello’s pit lane on a break between runs.
It was Vettel’s first time driving a Ferrari since his shock announcement in May that he would leave the team at the end of the year.

Ferrari join a host of other teams to have performed similar tests ahead of the re-launch of the 2020 season, with Mercedes and Renault using 2018 machinery to run at Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring respectively, while Racing Point exploited ‘filming day’ regulations to allow Lance Stroll to drive a 2020-spec Racing Point RP20 around Silverstone last week.
