PADDOCK PASS: All the reaction from a thrilling Hungarian GP qualifying
That Mercedes locked out the front row in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix was not too much of a surprise. That Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was unable to place higher than seventh – while team mate Alex Albon failed to progress into Q3 – was more of one, with many having predicted a strong performance from the team this weekend.
Racing Point’s performance in qualifying, meanwhile, won’t have improved their midfield rivals’ moods, after Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez took P3 and P4, ahead of the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and those Red Bulls.
Join Will Buxton to get the reaction from the drivers after qualifying in Budapest, including a Williams duo celebrating their team’s first double Q2 appearance since Monza 2018.
