Frustratingly for Racing Point, they were unable to gather data on the package in Russia after Stroll was pitched into the barriers by Charles Leclerc on the first lap – so it’s a big boost that both cars will have the new package in Germany.
Stroll will be targeting a clean weekend after two successive DNFs, while Perez might fancy his chances of a podium after finishing fifth and fourth respectively in the last two races with the older package.
