The latest trailer for Codemasters' new F1 2020 game shows off the brand new ‘My Team’ mode – and reveals just how deep customisation runs in this year’s official Formula 1 videogame.
Not only will players be able to create their own driver as in past iterations, but you’ll be able to create your own team – choosing a unique logo, livery, sponsors and colour scheme – to become the 11th constructor on the grid.

Customisation runs deeper than that, however, as the game also allows you to choose a real power unit supplier – from Renault, Mercedes, Honda or Ferrari – and sign a second driver from the 2019 Formula 2 grid, with new-for-2020 dynamic driver ratings helping you make that tough decision.

“My Team is a feature that both the studio and our community have wanted for some time,” said Lee Mather, Codemasters’ F1 franchise game director. “My Team thrusts the player into the world of F1 with its unique driver-manager experience. We know our players are going to love this new feature.”
Furthermore, team facilities are upgradable now, so you’ll be able to see the environment around you grow and improve to represent your investments. And, as Team Principal, you can also allocate funds, affect staff activities, team motivation, and the development of your team mate to ultimately clinch those drivers’ and constructors’ championships.

Codemasters' have also twinned media interviews with car development, so whatever you say to the press before unveiling the new car – with questions about car and race performance predictions – has an impact on the car’s development.
With the game releasing on July 10 (on Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia) to coincide with the second Grand Prix of the new season, we’re readying ourselves for one of the best weekends of the year.
F1 2020 will be released on Friday 10 July 2020 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, Windows PC (DVD and via Steam), and Google Stadia. Players who purchase the Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition will receive exclusive content and three days early access.
