Betting odds for the Miami Grand Prix – Who is the favourite to shine in the States?
Formula 1 has headed Stateside to Miami for what should be a glitzy affair, with the drivers set to master a brand new track. Red Bull are the ones riding high thanks to their one-two last time out, taking the fight to their Ferrari rivals, who had a much tougher time of it in Imola. But who will come home victorious in the Sunshine State? Let’s look to see whether the odds favour Red Bull or Ferrari ahead of the weekend’s action.
188BET's odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so if Verstappen is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.

The odds for the win
Fresh from his victory last time out, the odds say Max Verstappen is the favourite for the win. The Dutchman has won every race he’s finished so far this year, so it is worth keeping an eye on reliability as well as pure speed this weekend.
He is just ahead of Charles Leclerc, who made a mistake last time out and will be keen to atone. Carlos Sainz has dropped some way behind those two, and he is looking for a finish after two straight DNFs.
McLaren's drivers remain ahead of the Mercedes duo when it comes to the odds, which is no surprise off the back of Lando Norris’s podium at the Emilia Romanga Grand Prix. The youngster is still chasing a maiden Grand Prix victory though – as is his former team mate Sainz…

The odds for who will be fastest in qualifying
Last time, the Sprint was a factor in the weekend’s format, meaning qualifying took place on Friday evening. It is back to the traditional format here this weekend in Miami, so the drivers will have three practice sessions to get to grips with this new track, and learn how best to tackle the 19 corners.
Verstappen is again the narrow favourite, although Leclerc has been rapid over one lap this year and has two poles to the Dutchman’s one. Much could depend on who has managed to bring some upgrades, with Mercedes making encouraging noises in that direction.
Here’s what the odds say…
• Max Verstappen 2.00
• Charles Leclerc 2.35
• Carlos Sainz 7.50
• Sergio Perez 15.0
• Lando Norris, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton 67.0
• Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso 151
• Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas 301
• Kevin Magnussen, Mick Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Yuki Tsunoda 601
• Alexander Albon, Lance Stroll, Nicholas Latifi, Zhou Guanyu 901
The odds for a podium finish
It’s the usual suspects from Red Bull and Ferrari who the odds favour when it comes to standing on the rostrum this weekend, with the other three men to have made it to the podium this season all on equal odds just behind. Will those upgrades make a big difference to Mercedes, who have slipped down in the pecking order of late?
Haas are the home team this weekend, the American outfit managing more points courtesy of Kevin Magnussen last time out, although they have looked some way short of a podium based on the first handful of races. Alpine are another team who feel they are faster than their results have shown, with Fernando ALonso unlucky to retire with damage last time out.
• Max Verstappen 1.30
• Charles Leclerc 1.40
• Sergio Perez 1.90
• Carlos Sainz 2.10
• Lando Norris, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton 5.00
• Fernando Alonso 11.0
• Daniel Ricciardo 13.0
• Valtteri Bottas 15.0
• Esteban Ocon 26.0
• Kevin Magnussen, Pierre Gasly 34.0
• Mick Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Yuki Tsunoda 51.0
• Lance Stroll, Zhou Guanyu 101
• Alexander Albon, Nicholas Latifi 251
The odds for fastest lap
The bonus point for fastest lap again looks like it will be hotly contested all season long, with Verstappen grabbing it last time out on his way to a ‘Grand Slam’. That broke Leclerc’s streak, the Ferrari man having picked up the first three on offer this season.
But with a new track to learn, with a newly-laid surface and no historical data on tyre wear, nailing that fastest lap is going to be tricky this weekend. This is what the odds say…
• Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc 2.50
• Carlos Sainz 6.00
• Sergio Perez 7.00
• Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton 51.0
• George Russell, Daniel Ricciardo, Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 101
• Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi, Sebastian Vettel, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 251
• Alexander Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll 301

What are the odds for which team will take the most points?
Red Bull understandably lead the odds on this one after their one-two last time out, with Perez managing to keep his team mate honest ahead in Imola, while also demonstrating some superb defensive driving at times when under pressure from Leclerc behind. Ferrari haven’t managed to get both cars to the finish line since Saudi Arabia, while McLaren and Mercedes only had one car in the points last time out.
• Red Bull 1.70
• Ferrari 2.10
• McLaren, Mercedes 21.0
• Alpine 67.0
• Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri 151
• Aston Martin, Haas 301
• Williams 901
The odds for a Safety Car appearing during the race
This one is an unknown at a new track with no historical data to draw on. So far this season, the Safety Car has been out at every race, sometimes more than once, so it will be interesting to see if it makes an appearance in Miami too.
• Yes 1.30
• No 3.20
