Odds and betting lines for the Russian GP – Is Albon good value for another podium finish?
As Formula 1 heads to the Black Sea for the 2020 Russian Grand Prix, let’s take a look at the betting lines for this weekend’s action, as provided by 188BET.COM.
188BET's odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so if Lewis Hamilton is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.

What are the odds for the win?
Lewis Hamilton is a potent combination of four-time Russian Grand Prix victor (and bear in mind there have only been six races in Sochi) and six-time winner this season. So it’s not surprising to see him out in front in the betting for the win on Sunday.
FORM GUIDE: Can anyone break Mercedes’ unbeaten run at Sochi?
Don’t overlook Valtteri Bottas though, who’s a bit of a Sochi specialist, having taken his maiden win at the track in 2017 – which he would have followed up with victory in 2018 if he hadn’t been team ordered out of Hamilton’s way.
- Lewis Hamilton 1.40
- Valtteri Bottas 4.20
- Max Verstappen 6.00
- Sergio Perez 34.0
- Lance Stroll 51.0
- Alex Albon, Daniel Ricciardo 67.0
- Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris 101
- Pierre Gasly 151
- Sebastian Vettel, Esteban Ocon, Daniil Kvyat 251
- Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi 901
What are the odds for fastest in qualifying?
No one’s headed Mercedes in qualifying yet this season, with Hamilton and Bottas once again the drivers with the shortest odds to take pole on Saturday.

Max Verstappen is the next closest at 9.00, the Dutchman having started six times in the top three so far this year – but never on pole position.
- Lewis Hamilton 1.50
- Valtteri Bottas 3.00
- Max Verstappen 9.00
- Sergio Perez 34.0
- Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll 51.0
- Alex Albon 67.0
- Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc 81.0
- Lando Norris 101
- Pierre Gasly 151
- Sebastian Vettel, Esteban Ocon, Daniil Kvyat 251
- Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi 901
What are the odds for a podium finish?
Not surprisingly, Alex Albon’s odds have shortened since our betting preview for Mugello, with the Red Bull driver having finally broken his rostrum duck at the Tuscan Grand Prix. He’s tied on 4.50 with Sergio Perez, who remains the last non-Mercedes or Ferrari driver to stand on the podium in Sochi back in 2015.
- Lewis Hamilton 1.14
- Valtteri Bottas 1.35
- Max Verstappen 1.55
- Alex Albon, Sergio Perez 4.50
- Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll 7.00
- Carlos Sainz 9.00
- Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris 11.0
- Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 17.0
- Sebastian Vettel 21.0
- Daniil Kvyat 26.0
- George Russell, Kevin Magnussen, Kimi Raikkonen, Romain Grosjean, Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi 901
What are the odds for fastest lap?
Hamilton has taken four of the 10 fastest lap bonus points this year, adding 10 points to his tally at the top of the drivers’ standings.
But it was Bottas who took Fastest Lap honours on top of his victory last time out. That was his second Fastest Lap of the season and Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Ricciardo and Verstappen have had one each in 2020.
- Lewis Hamilton 2.20
- Valtteri Bottas 2.75
- Max Verstappen 4.35
- Alex Albon 17.0
- Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez 26.0
- Lando Norris 34.0
- Carlos Sainz 51.0
- Charles Leclerc, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly 101
- Esteban Ocon 151
- Daniil Kvyat, Sebastian Vettel 201
- Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi 251
What are the odds for which team will take the most points?
Mercedes have yet to be outscored by any team at Sochi, so look a good bet for maintaining that record this weekend. Look out for Racing Point as well, who’ve scored well at the Russian venue since the first race in 2014, and will be running their new upgrade package on Lance Stroll's car.
- Mercedes 1.10
- Red Bull 6.00
- Racing Point 26.0
- McLaren, Renault 51.0
- Ferrari 81.0
- AlphaTauri 151
- Alfa Romeo, Haas, Williams 901

What are the odds for a Safety Car intervention?
A fairly safe bet, this one, given that a Safety Car, or Virtual Safety Car, has appeared at five out of the six Russian Grands Prix to date.
- Yes 1.30
- No 3.20
